What I Learned at the Credit Union Financial Forum in New York

What I Learned at the Credit Union Financial Forum in New York

David Trende invited me to the Credit Union Financial Forum, and I'm grateful he did. The event brought together credit union leaders in New York City for two days of presentations, conversations, and networking that reminded me why this industry matters.

Michael Rossi Delivered Informative Presentations

Michael Rossi was very informative in his presentations. He had some great speakers lined up throughout the forum, and the lineup reflected the caliber of expertise credit union leaders need to hear from right now.

A Fireside Chat with Rodney E. Hood

I had a fireside chat with Rodney E. Hood, former Chairman of the National Credit Union Administration and former Acting Comptroller of the Currency. Events like this one provide financial education on how money works at the highest levels of the industry.

Anthony Hernandez Shared the Defense Credit Union Perspective

I also heard from Anthony R. Hernandez, President and CEO of the Defense Credit Union Council. Getting the mission, membership, and math perspective from someone who represents credit unions serving military members added valuable context to the conversations we were having about the future of our industry.

These Forums Build the Relationships Our Industry Needs

Credit union leadership isn't built in isolation. Forums like this one bring together the regulators, advocates, and practitioners who shape our industry's future. The conversations that happen in the hallways matter as much as the ones on stage.

When we invest time in learning from former NCUA chairmen and defense credit union leaders, we're investing in the knowledge that helps us serve our members better.

Thanks again to David Trende for the invitation.
